Donation Options

Currently, to qualify for any donation pickup or disposal option, you must have at least one essential furniture item that meets our donation standards.

Outdoor Pickups: We accept outdoor pickups for free . Items must be on a front porch or in a garage to qualify.

Inside Pickups: Along with free outdoor pickups, we also accept inside pickups for a $25 fee. Fees must be paid in advance.

Saturday Pickups: We offer Saturday indoor AND outdoor donation pick-ups on one Saturday every month for a $100 fee. Fees must be paid in advance.

Downsizing Services: Large pickups for more than 10 items will be available for pickup through our Downsize with a Heart service.

Disposal Options: We offer disposal options for items that do not meet our donation standards for a nominal fee. A qualifying essential item for donation must be included in the pick-up.

Drop-Off Donations: We accept drop-off donations of both essential and non-essential furniture items Monday – Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

If it's in your home, chances are we can take it if it meets our donation standards. To qualify for a pickup, you must have one essential item– marked with an asterisk below. For a nominal fee, we can also dispose of damaged or old furniture items with the donation of one essential item.

Donation Standards

We pride ourselves on giving quality furniture to those in need. At the time of a donation, we will inspect items to assure they meet our donation standards. That means:

  • No rips, tears, stains, or tape patches in the fabric
  • No pet hair or pet stains embedded in the fibers
  • No bed bugs, fleas, cockroaches, or evidence of mice or other rodents or insects
  • No recalled or damaged items
  • Appliances must be working, with all parts, and must be clean
  • No urine, blood or other health risks

If we cannot accept your items for donation for any of these reasons, we offer disposal options for a nominal fee.

Furniture Donations and COVID-19

We are following all federal, state, and local requirements for safe business operation. The health, well-being and safety of our client families, donors, and staff is our top focus.

Donation pickups must include an essential item. Free pickups must have items in a garage or porch for a non-contact pickup, and inside pickups are $25. Saturday pickups (only offered once every month) are $100. Disposal options are available with pickup.

Pickups of more than 10 items will be available through our Downsize with a Heart service.

We are also accepting DROP-OFF donations Monday – Friday between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm at our warehouse in Franklinton located at 118 S. Yale Avenue.

  • PICK-UP IS AVAILABLE!

  • Each furniture item counts as one item- one chair, one couch, table, etc. We will confirm counts when we contact you to schedule. One bag/box of household items like kitchen items, linens, clothing, etc. counts as one item.

  • Essential furniture item includes mattresses, box springs, dressers, couches, sofas, stuffed chairs, love seats, kitchen tables, kitchen chairs, large appliances less than 15 years old (stoves, refrigerators, washers, electric dryers).

  • Items must be free of rips, tears, stains, and health risks including rodents and bugs. Appliances must be less than 15 years old and an in good, working condition.

  • Are you aware of any present or prior BED BUG issues with the furniture items you are donating or in your residence?

  • Are you aware of any present or prior HEALTH RISK issues with the furniture items you are donating?

  • If you have an essential item(s) that does not meet our donation standards, we can pick it up and dispose of it for you for a nominal fee.

  • Items located in a garage, porch, or other location that can be accessed without contact qualify for a free pickup. Other pickups that require inside access are available for a $25 fee. Payment will be requested at time of scheduling.

  • Please ONLY list item quantity and item category (no other detail). EXAMPLE: 1-couch, 3-kitchen chair, 2-queen mattress, 1-box of clothes

  • We cannot schedule you for a pickup without an essential furniture item. Drop-offs of any items that meet our donation standards are accepted between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm Mondays - Fridays at our warehouse in Franklinton. 

  • We cannot schedule you for a pickup if your items do not meet our donation standards. If you have at least one essential item that DOES meet our donation standards and are interested in disposal options for items that do not meet our donation standards, select "yes" to the third question, and continue filling out the form.

  • Donations of 10 items or more MUST be scheduled through our Downsize with a Heart service. Click HERE to schedule a downsize service. Thank you!

  • Unfortunately we cannot accept any donations of furniture if there is a history of bed bugs or health risks.

  • Please allow 5-10 seconds for your submission to process. If you are not redirected after 10 seconds, please hit submit again.

    Unfortunately, you are outside of our pick-up service area. We welcome you to DROP OFF your donation at our service center! HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm LOCATION: 118 S Yale Ave, Columbus, OH 43222 *Items must be free of rips, tears, stains, pet hair, and have no exposure to bed bugs or prior health risks* No appointment necessary. A staff member will assist you in unloading your items.
